Our Staff & Employment Opportunities
Harmony's Director has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a minor in Special Education, New Jersey Teaching Certification and over twenty years' experience in curriculum development and Early Childhood Education. She is employed full time and is on site to give the teachers and assistants positive support and guidance. She is also available to speak to parents on a daily basis.
Harmony also employs an Assistant Director to help with the day to day operation of the school. This enables Harmony to have a supervisor readily available during all hours of operation for both parents and staff.
A certified Mentor Teacher is on-site to enhance our curriculum. She teaches the children Sign Language, Spanish, Phonics and Interactive White Board lessons. By employing an Assistant Director and Mentor Teacher, this allows for extra helping hands in the classrooms while implementing our curriculum and daily schedules. In addition, we have a full time on-site LPN to attend to the children's medical needs. All staff is trained in CPR and First Aid.
Our qualified staff is committed to the nurturing care of young children. We realize the importance of staff development which is done throughout the year to keep our staff up to date with fresh ideas to enhance our curriculum. This provides an enriched environment for the children in our care and an opportunity for personal and professional growth for our staff.
We specifically seek qualified staff with a commitment to the nurturing care of young children. We offer our staff competitive child care wages, flexi-benefit dollars, medical benefits, 401K and all the resources they will require to teach the children without incurring further expense whenever possible. Harmony teachers enjoy the luxury of referring to over 950 resource books for implementing writing skills, art projects, science, math, social awareness, literature thematic, etc. All potential employees are thoroughly screened and undergo police and child abuse background checks.
Employees are fingerprinted and certified in CPR and first aid. Resumes along with references and salary requirements may be emailed. Harmony Early Learning Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
